Cheese Biscuits
Cheese Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. shortening and 1/3 c. grated sharp cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Cut shortening into flour mixture with blender or fork until the mixture looks like coarse cornmeal.
Stir in grated cheese.
Add milk to shortening-flour mixture and mix just enough to hold dough together.
Roll dough 1/2-inch thick.
Cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet, in hot oven (425Β°) for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown as desired.
