Cheese Biscuits
Cheese Biscuits is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shredded cheese and 1/3 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Sift dry ingredients together 3 times.
Add shredded cheese. Cut in shortening until well blended.
Add enough milk to make a soft dough.
Turn out on a lightly floured board.
Roll into 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut with a biscuit cutter or in squares with a knife.
Place on a baking sheet and bake at 425Β° (hot oven) for 12 to 15 minutes.
Makes 12 (2-inch) biscuits.
Serve immediately. Serves 12.
