Cheese Apple Crisp
Cheese Apple Crisp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 firm slightly tart apples, 1/2 c. sugar, divided, 3/4 c. sugar and 2 tbsp. flour, divided, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 c. soft butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Peel and thinly slice apples.
Place in a medium bowl about 1/4 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons flour and 1 cup cheese.
Toss well. Transfer to a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
In a medium bowl, combine remaining sugar and flour with cinnamon.
With pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
Sprinkle evenly over apples.
Bake at 375Β° for 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
Sprinkle remaining cheese and bake just long enough to melt cheese.
Serve hot.
