Cheddar Supreme Cheese Cake
Cheddar Supreme Cheese Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. zwieback crumbs, 3 tbsp. sugar (for crust), 2 tsp. grated lemon rind, 6 tbsp. or 3/4 stick butter or margarine, melted and 4 (8 oz.) cream cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix Zwieback crumbs with 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind in small bowl.
Blend in melted butter.
Press evenly over bottom and sides of 8-inch spring-form pan.
Set pan in a 12-inch long piece of foil; fold foil up along side to catch any butter that may bubble out.
Chill while making filling.
Mix all remaining ingredients.
Pour into crust and bake at 500° for 12 minutes.
Lower to 250° and bake for 2 hours or until firm on top.
Garnish with canned or fresh fruit.
