Cheddar Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. boiling water, 1/2 c. carrots, diced, 1/4 c. onions, chopped, 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1/4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Add water, salt and pepper to vegetables.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Do not drain.
Make a white sauce with margarine, flour and half and half.
Add cheese; stir until melted.
Add undrained vegetables.
Heat through, but do not boil.
