Cheddar Chowder
Cheddar Chowder is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. boiling water, 2 c. cauliflowerets, 1 c. diced potatoes, 1/2 c. sliced carrots and 1/2 c. sliced celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In saucepan, combine water, vegetables, salt and pepper.
Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
In a large saucepan, melt butter.
Stir in flour, then milk and heat to boiling.
Continue simmering, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add Cheddar cheese; stir until melted.
Add undrained vegetables and ham, if used.
Heat through but do not boil.
If desired, add cooked broccoli.
