Cathy's Homemade Bread
Cathy'S Homemade Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 lb. flour (all-purpose), 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 cakes yeast, 1 tbsp. salt and 1/2 c. crisco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine in large bowl the flour, sugar, salt and Crisco.
Mix with your hands until well blended.
In 1 quart of warm water, dissolve yeast and add to flour mixture.
Work up until stiff. Grease sides of bowl and top of bread.
Let dough rise to top of bowl.
Grease hands and work down.
Put into greased pans and let rise.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
