Carolina Chew Cakes
Carolina Chew Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, softened, 1 (16 oz.) pkg. light brown sugar, 3 eggs, 2 c. self-rising flour and 1 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, beating well.
Blend in flour.
Stir in remaining ingredients except powdered sugar.
Spoon batter into a well-greased and lightly floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

Dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
