Caramels
Caramels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. light cream, 1/4 c. butter and 1 c. chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Measure sugar, corn syrup, cream and butter into large, heavy saucepan.
Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally.
When mixture begins to "caramelize," reduce heat and cook to firm ball stage (244Β°).
Stir in nuts and vanilla.
Pour into one corner of buttered 8-inch square pan.
Allow mixture to level of its own accord.
Let stand until cool.
Turn out onto board.
Mark off into squares.
Cut with buttered sharp knife.
Wrap individually. Yields 1 1/4 pounds.
