Caramel Pecan Squares
Caramel Pecan Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. pillsbury plus yellow cake mix, 1/4 c. butter, softened, 4 c. pecan halves, whole or chopped, 1 c. brown sugar and 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat oven to 350°.
Place cake mix in large bowl and cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Press into bottom of ungreased 15 x 10-inch pan.
Top with pecans.
In heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and honey.
Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Boil 3 minutes; remove from heat.
Stir in cream until well blended. Pour hot mixture evenly over pecans.
Bake at 350° for 17 to 22 minutes until entire surface is bubbly.
Cool completely before cutting into 48 bars.
