Caramel Pecan Pie
Caramel Pecan Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (9-inch) pie shell, cooked, 1/2 c. white sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/2 tsp. salt and 3 eggs, separated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Pour 1/2 cup sugar in heavy pan on burner; let brown nicely. Add beaten eggs, milk, rest of the sugar, cornstarch and salt and let it thicken.
Add margarine, vanilla and pecans.
Pour into shell.
Beat egg whites; pour over and let brown.
Could use Cool Whip or serve with ice cream.
