Spread corn and nuts in large shallow pan and place in preheated 250° oven.
Combine butter, sugar, syrup and salt in a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Boil until 248° (firm-ball stage).
Remove from heat.
Pour over corn and nuts.
Stir gently to coat.
Bake 45 minutes at 250°, stirring every 15 minutes.
