Caramel Nut Brownies
Caramel Nut Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels, unwrapped, 2/3 c. evaporated milk, 1 (2-layer) german chocolate cake mix, 1/2 c. margarine, melted and 1 1/2 c. walnuts, pecans or peanuts, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
(May melt in microwave if desired.)
In mixing bowl, combine remaining 1/3 cup milk with cake mix and margarine; mix well.
Press half of cake mixture into bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle 1 cup nuts and 1 cup chocolate chips over crust.
Top with caramel mixture, spreading caramel to edges of pan.
Top with spoonfuls of remaining cake mixture; press gently into caramel mixtures. Sprinkle with remaining nuts, pressing lightly into top.
Bake at 350° for an additional 20 minutes.
Cool before cutting.
