Caramel Corn
Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 qt. popped popcorn, 1 pkg. peanuts, 2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 c. oleo and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Put the 6 quarts of popped popcorn in a large roaster.
Stir in peanuts, if desired.
Boil for 5 minutes: packed brown sugar, oleo, salt, corn syrup and optional maple flavoring.
Remove from heat.
Add 1 teaspoon baking soda to mixture.
This will make it foamy.
Pour over popped corn and mix well.
Bake at 275Β° for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
Do not let it get too brown. Dump on waxed or brown paper to cool.
