Caramel Chocolate Squares
Caramel Chocolate Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) bag kraft caramels, 1 (5 oz.) evaporated milk, 1 supermoist german chocolate cake mix, 2/3 c. margarine, melted and 3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Melt together 1/4 cup evaporated milk and caramels.
Keep warm over low heat.
Mix dry cake mix with remaining milk, melted margarine and nuts.
Spread 1/2 of mixture in 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake 6 minutes.
Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips and coconut on baked cake mix.
Drizzle melted caramel mixture over top.
Drop remaining cake mixture randomly in small amounts over caramel drizzle.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
Cool. Refrigerate until firm and cut into squares.
