Caramel Brownies
Caramel Brownies is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 40 minutes. Made with (14 oz.) bag caramels, c. (5 oz.) can evaporated milk, box german chocolate cake mix with pudding, c. margarine and c. walnuts, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix 1/2 cake and 1/3 cup evaporated milk together.
Press in bottom of a greased pan (13 x 9-inch).
Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.
Melt caramels with remaining milk, stirring until smooth.
Add margarine; mix well.
Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over cake.
Pour caramel mixture over, spreading to edge of pan.
Sprinkle remaining cake mix over top, pressing into caramel mixture.
Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
Cool slightly. Refrigerate.
Cut into bars.
