Candy Coated Nuts
Candy Coated Nuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar (white), 2 1/2 c. nut halves (walnuts or pecans), 1/2 c. sour cream or plain yogurt, 2 tbsp. oleo and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, bring sugar, sour cream or yogurt and oleo to a boil.
Cook to a soft ball stage, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add vanilla and cinnamon. Stir until mixture begins to thicken.
Add nuts and stir until well coated.
Turn out onto buttered cookie sheet.
Separate into clusters, individual nuts or small pieces.
Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
