Calypso Pie
Calypso Pie is an impressive dinner. Made with 18 to 20 oreo cookies, 1/4 c. softened butter, 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate, 1/4 c. butter and 2/3 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Crush Oreo cookies in bowl.
Blend in softened butter.
Put in pie plate and chill 2 hours.
Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter in top of double boiler.
Remove from heat.
Stir in 2/3 cup sugar and salt until blended.
Gradually add evaporated milk and blend well.
Return to heat, stirring constantly for 4 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla and almond extract.
Cool and chill for 1 hour.
