Cabbage Soup
Cabbage Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter, 2 large onions, chopped, 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 4 lb. cabbage, shredded and 4 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Melt butter in large saucepan or Dutch oven.
Add onions; saute until tender.
Stir in flour, blending well.
Add cabbage, mixing well.
Slowly add water, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil.
Stir in tomatoes, salt, pepper, sugar, lemon juice and caraway seed.
Simmer on low heat for at least one hour.
Serves 12.
