Cabbage and Rice Casserole
Cabbage And Rice Casserole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 large cabbage, 1 onion, chopped, 2 celery stalks, chopped, 1 c. raw rice and 1 can cream of mushroom soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Chop cabbage and parboil 10 minutes in salty water.
Place in colander and drain well.
Brown ground meat.
Add onion, celery and bell pepper.
Cook until done.
Add soup, tomato paste and water.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Grease a large casserole pan using butter.
Put a layer of cabbage, then a layer of meat mixture.
Continue until all is used.
Top with bread crumbs and dot with butter.
Bake, covered, at 325Β° for 1 hour. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer.
