Butternut Pound Cake

Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs for 1 minute at high speed.
Add 1 cup flour (which as been sifted with self-rising).
Beat for 1 minute, then add the other 2 cups of flour alternately with milk. Add flavoring and pour into tube pan.
Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Turn oven to 350° and bake 10 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
