Butternut Chewies
Butternut Chewies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. melted butter, 2 eggs, 2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease pan with butter.
Beat eggs until light and foamy.
Beat in sugar, vanilla and butter until creamy.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture.
Mix at low speed until blended.
Stir in nuts (mixture will be stiff).
Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes (or until top is lightly browned).
Cool 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen.
