Butternut Cake
Butternut Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1/3 c. water, 2 sticks oleo, 2 tbsp. butternut flavoring and 1/2 c. crisco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream shortening, butter and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and water.
Stir in butternut flavoring.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes (test with toothpick).
Start in cold oven.
Leave in pan 20 to 30 minutes before taking out of pan.
