Buttermilk Sherbet is an easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. buttermilk, 1 c. granulated sugar, 1 large can crushed pineapple with juice, 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Thoroughly mix buttermilk, sugar and pineapple.
Pour into ice cube tray and freeze to a mush.
Pour mixture into a large bowl and beat until smooth.
Blend in the beaten egg whites and vanilla.
Return to refrigerator tray.
An increase in volume now will require two trays.
Freeze until firm.
