Buttermilk Rolls
Buttermilk Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. soda, 2 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. melted shortening and 1 pkg. dry yeast, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Mix water and yeast and set aside to soften.
In a large bowl, mix sugar, soda, salt and buttermilk.
Add shortening and yeast. Stir in flour.
Turn out dough on a floured surface.

Place rolls in buttered pans, brush tops with melted butter.
Set aside and allow to rise 2 to 3 hours.
Bake at 450Β° for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown.
