Buttermilk Pound Cake
Buttermilk Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3 c. flour and 1 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Cream sugar, Crisco and butter until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, 1 at a time.
Beat well after each addition.
Stir in extracts.
Stir together flour and soda.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk; beat well after each addition.
Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
Bake in a 325Β° oven for 1 1/4 hours or until done.
Cool in pan 10 minutes.
Remove from pan; cool on rack.
