Cream butter with sugar; add eggs and flour, mixing well. Stir in buttermilk, nutmeg and flavoring.
Pour into pie shell; bake 45 minutes at 350Β° in center of oven.
Freezes well, that is if someone doesn't eat it before you can get to the freezer with it.
