Buttercream Frosting
Buttercream Frosting is an easy dinner. Made with 6 c. powdered sugar, sifted and divided, 3/4 c. butter, softened, 1/4 c. vegetable shortening, 6 to 8 tbsp. milk, divided and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine 3 cups powdered sugar, butter, shortening, 4 tablespoons milk and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat with electric mixer until smooth.
Add remaining powdered sugar; beat until light and fluffy, adding more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, as needed for good spreading consistency.
Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
