Bring sugar, salt, water and butter to boiling; add almonds. Cook, stirring constantly, to light crack stage (285Β°).
Pour onto a greased cookie sheet or jelly roll pan.
When cool, brush with chocolate and sprinkle with walnut meats.
Break into pieces. Makes about 2 dozen pieces.
