Butter Mochi
Butter Mochi is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. mochi flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 (12 oz.) can coconut milk and evaporated milk to equal 3 c. total, 1 block butter or margarine, melted and 1 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Mix all ingredients well, except for the sesame seed or coconut.
Batter should not be lumpy.
Pour into 2 (8 or 9-inch) square or round cake pans.
Sprinkle the sesame seed or the coconut flakes on top.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 to 60 minutes.
Test with a toothpick.
Toothpick should come out clean when inserted in the middle.
