Butter Fruit Cake
Butter Fruit Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. butter (do not use margarine), 1 lb. red candied cherries, 1/2 lb. green candied cherries, 1/2 lb. raisins and 1/2 lb. candied pineapple, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cream butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy.
Mix in flour and nutmeg.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
This may be cooked in large tube pan or two large loaf pans.
For tube pan, bake at 200° for 5 hours.
For loaf pans, cook at 200° for 3 hours.
