Electric mixer cream butter; gradually add sugar. Beat until and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla. With spoon blend flour.
Fill cookie press and press out onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
May top with frosting, if desired, after cooling.
