Butter Cookies
Butter Cookies is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 c. all-purpose flour (do not use self-rising flour), 1/2 c. sugar and 1 c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
Roll 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured cloth covered board.
Cut into 1 1/2-inch circles.
Place circles on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
Yields about 8 dozen cookies.
After baking, you may "paint" the cookies different by using food coloring and tiny paint brushes.
