Combine sugar and flour in large bowl.
Add butter, egg, buttermilk, vanilla and 2/3 of coconut.
Mix well.
Pour mixture into pie shell.
Sprinkle with remaining coconut.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until set.
Yields one 9-inch pie.
