Mix together yellow cake mix, 2 eggs and 1 stick butter; spread in 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mix together 8 ounces cream cheese, 2 eggs, powdered sugar and vanilla.
Spread on top of first mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes in 350Β° oven.
When cool, sift reserved 1/4 cup sugar on top.
