Burgundy Beef
Burgundy Beef is an impressive dinner. Made with 6 tbsp. margarine, 1/3 c. flour, 1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. au jus mix, 2 c. water and 1 tbsp. catsup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Heat 3 tablespoons of the margarine and blend in flour.
Cook and stir 5 minutes.
Prepare au jus mix as directed with 2 cups water.
Add au jus gradually to flour, stirring with a whisk until thickened and smooth.
Simmer 1 minute.
Add catsup, bouillon cubes dissolved in hot water, pepper, paprika and garlic powder. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
Keep warm.
Makes 2 cups sauce.
