Brownies
Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. butter or oleo, melted, 1 c. brown sugar, packed, 1 egg, beaten, 1/2 c. flour and 2 tbsp. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Melt butter in saucepan and add sugar.
Mix and cool slightly. Add beaten eggs and stir in.
Add flour and cocoa; mix thoroughly.
Add vanilla and nuts; stir until smooth.
Pour into greased and floured 7-inch square aluminum pan or a 7 x 10-inch oblong.
Bake at 350Β° for about 20 minutes.
Watch; do not overcook.
Cut into squares while still warm.
When cold, store in cookie tin.
