Sift in bowl; sugar, flour and baking soda.
In sauce pan; bring to a boil; butter, cocoa and water.
Pour over flour mixture while boiling hot, mix well.
Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.
Bake in greased and floured cookie sheet 12-15 min.
Does well in deep cake pan.
