Brown Sugar Pound Cake
Brown Sugar Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. butter, 1/2 c. crisco, 1 box plus1 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 5 eggs and 3 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cream butter and Crisco until fluffy.
Add sugar, one cup at a time, creaming thoroughly after each addition.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Sift flour; measure.
Sift flour and baking powder together.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternately into creamed mixture.
Mix thoroughly.
Add vanilla.
Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan.
Pan may be lined with waxed paper.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 30 minutes (great with Caramel Icing).
