Brown Rice Strata
Brown Rice Strata is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 2/3 c. water, 1 c. brown rice, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. margarine and 1/2 c. slivered almonds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cook rice with water, 1 teaspoon salt and margarine for 45 to 50 minutes.
Spoon about half the rice into buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Arrange broccoli over rice; dot with pimento. Sprinkle with about 3/4 cup cheese.
Spoon on remaining rice in even layer.
Combine last six ingredients and pour over rice mixture. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and almonds.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Uncover and bake at 300Β° until top is brown, about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.
Let stand about 5 minutes before cutting.
