Breakfast Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. buttermilk, 1/2 c. honey, 1/4 c. molasses, 2 tsp. soda and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
👨🍳 Instructions
Mix together the buttermilk, honey, molasses, soda and salt. In another bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and white flour; add that blend to the buttermilk mixture.
Stir in the raisins. Pour the batter into a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Preheat your oven to 400°, turn it back to 350° and slide in the pan.
Bake the bread for 1 hour.
Turn the loaf out, inverted, onto a rack to cool.
Wait 1 day before slicing and toasting this breakfast bread.
Makes 1 loaf.
