Bread Pudding For A Crowd is an easy dinner. Made with 18 slices white bread, 2 qt. milk, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 c. sugar and 6 eggs, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Butter bread and place buttered side down in a greased cake pan (9 x 13-inch, 6 slices per layer).
Combine milk, sugar, salt and eggs.
Pour over bread.
With large spoon, press bread down just enough to make sure all the bread gets the milk mixture over them.
Let set 1/2 hour.
Bake at 325Β° for 45 minutes covered then 1/2 hour uncovered.
If raisins are desired, sprinkle some between layers.
