Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (12 oz.) french bread, 4 eggs, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. light brown sugar and 2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Mix cubed bread with 5 cups milk.
Let stand at least an hour, mixing from time to time.
Add butter, raisins and apples to bread mixture; set aside.
Beat eggs, vanilla, sugars and cinnamon.
Add rest of milk (1 cup) to egg mixture, mixing well.
Add to bread mixture.
Pour into greased 15 x 10 x 2-inch pan.
Bake on top shelf of oven.
Check in 1 hour to see if center is puffed up and top is brown.
If not, bake in 15 minute increments until done.
May need another 1/2 hour.
After cooled, sift top with powdered sugar.
