Bread Crust Apple Cake
Bread Crust Apple Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bread, 1 pt. milk, 2 beaten eggs, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Butter a round cake or pie plate.
Break bread into small pieces and put in pan.
Add milk and let bread soak a little.
Add eggs, sugar and vanilla and stir lightly together.
Pare and core the apples and cut as for cake.
Place on top of bread mixture. Use 4 tablespoons of butter and dot top of cake.
Sprinkle with fine bread crumbs and cinnamon or nutmeg as preferred.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Apples should be brown and tender when done.
