Bran Muffins
Bran Muffins is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. boiling water, 5 tsp. baking soda, 1 c. crisco, 2 c. sugar and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Add soda to water and let cool.
Cream Crisco and sugar.
Add eggs to creamed ingredients and stir.
Stir in buttermilk, flour and salt.
Add all-bran, raisins, nuts, dates and 40% Bran Flakes, also the water and soda, to the rest.
Bake at 375Β° for 20 minutes.
Makes 8 dozen.
Keeps 6 weeks in refrigerator.
