Bran Muffins
Bran Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 3 c. sugar, 4 eggs, 1 qt. buttermilk and 6 c. all-bran, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cream shortening with sugar; add eggs one at a time.
Pour in buttermilk.
Mix together 2 cups All-Bran and boiling water; add to first mixture.
Sift together flour, salt and soda.
Add to mixture.
Add 4 cups All-Bran and mix.
Bake in greased muffin pans at 400Β° for 20 minutes.
Will keep in refrigerator 1 month. Do not stir.
Dip out.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen, depending on size of pan.
