Bourbon Balls
Bourbon Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sifted 10x sugar, 1/3 c. bourbon, 1/4 c. light corn syrup or honey, 2 1/2 c. crushed vanilla wafers (about 75) and 1 c. coarsely chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix 1 cup of the sugar, bourbon and corn syrup.
Add wafers and nuts.
Stir until evenly moistened.
Pinch walnut-sized pieces from the mix and roll firmly between palms to form a ball.
Sift remaining 1/2 cup sugar with cocoa onto wax paper.
Roll balls in mixture.
Store in airtight container with wax paper between layers.
Makes about 50 balls.
