Boston Brown Bread

The night before baking, mix raisins, soda, boiling water and butter and let stand covered.
Add remaining ingredients the next morning and mix well.
Fill cans 1/2 full.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Cool until you can handle.
Remove bread from cans and cool.
Roll in plastic wrap and refrigerate or can be frozen. Excellent with cream cheese spread or butter.
