Bonnie'S Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 lb. butter (not margarine) and about 7 c. flour (depending upon how much the butter will take up), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix the ingredients.
Pat into a pie plate or rectangular pan to depth of 1/4-inch to 1/2-inch.
Prick entire surface with a fork. Bake at 250Β° for 1 hour or until pale brown.
If baked in pie pan, cut into wedges to serve.
One-half the recipe fits into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
If baked in rectangular pan, cut into small rectangular pieces.
