Boiled Frosting
Boiled Frosting is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/3 c. water, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, 1/8 tsp. salt and 2 egg whites, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine sugar, water, syrup and salt in saucepan.
Boil slowly without stirring until mixture will spin a long thread when a little is dropped from spoon; hold spoon high above saucepan (238° to 242°).
In mixing bowl, beat whites until stiff, about 2 1/2 minutes.
Pour hot syrup slowly over egg whites while beating. Continue beating until mixture is fluffy and will hold its shape. Add vanilla.
Blend.
Spread on cake.
